European Product & Marketing Manager

Based at our client’s European Hub and reporting directly to the President of European Operations, this high profile position will be responsible for the European Product and Marketing team of six people.

The primary responsibility of the European Product & Marketing Manager is to lead the product marketing team and oversee the development and delivery of the marketing strategy for the European business. The aim of the product and marketing team is to provide clear market strategy and support to enable their European partners to work more efficiently and meet sales forecasts, and to gather market insights to ensure future proof product development.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies and technical support for the European market for the entire product portfolio
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that result in excellent brand and product awareness
  • Define and implement annual marketing plans
  • Endure day to day marketing management, including defining, executing and control of marketing budgets
  • Guide the day to day activities of the product management and marketing team
  • Ensure the activities of the product management, technical support and marketing team are in line with the needs of the business
  • Provide solid partnership to the regional business managers
  • Supervise product launches and implementation of promotion plans
  • Implement product lifecycle management, including development of pricing strategies, SWOT and marketing analysis for current product portfolio
  • Ensure correct product forecasting and development of tools to support the forecast
  • Identify and manage relationships with suppliers
  • Identify and manage relationships with key opinion leaders, societies, sponsors in support of product development and market analysis initiatives
  • Develop and implement training programs and tools
  • Implement marketing communication plans, including campaigns, events, digital marketing and PR
  • Enable the business to act on specific market and customer insights as inputs into the products/ solutions roadmap

Required Profile

  • Background in Life sciences industry, minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant topic
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in marketing and sales
  • Minimum of 4 years of team management experience
  • A proven track record in product marketing and product introductions
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Strong background in relationship management in an international multicultural setting
  • Ability to deal with demanding stakeholders and proven ability to lead and inspire an organisation
  • Understand and anticipate customer needs
  • Highly effective organisational and project management skills
  • Fluent in English and preferably another European language
  • Willingness to travel 30-40% max
