Regional Sales Manager (f/m) Europe

Our client is one of the leading providers of advanced analytical instrumentation technology for industrial and scientific applications, used especially in the growth markets environment, life science, biotechnology and energy.  To continue successful operation in these markets and for the expansion of the sales network for the product portfolio “Analytical Instrumentation” and “Life Science”, they are looking for a Regional Sales Manager (f/m) Europe.

Primary Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for the expansion of the sales network in Europe in collaboration with the existing distributers.


  • Preparation and presentation of business, sales and marketing plans for the assigned territory including the identification of short and long term goals and objectives
  • Supporting the existing and further expanding of the sales network in the area
  • Promoting products to distributors and clients in various segments and through multiple sales channels in the analytical instrumentation and life science market
  • Identification of potential markets and sales channels, including the development of the sales figures and maintaining the customer base
  • Definition and execution of the marketing and sales strategies tailored to the domestic markets
  • Coordination of the presence at important regional trade shows
  • Organizing and providing necessary training to sales and after sales staff as well as distributors
  • Regular reporting regarding business results and budget process

Person Specification

  • Several years of international experience in a similar sales or management position, ideally in an international business environment
  • Specific knowledge of the analytical instrumentation and life science market
  • Excellent analytical skills coupled with very solid negotiation skills, leadership experience and assertiveness
  • Hands-on management style and the adaptability and flexibility to complex situations and organizations as well as changing market conditions
  • Dynamic and proactive character with a structured workings style and a target oriented personality
  • Very good communication and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Fluency in English, German language skills would be an asset
  • Strong intercultural skills and experience with different business cultures and mentalities
  • Degree in natural sciences or business administration
