PI (Physik Instrumente) of Karlsruhe, Germany have announced the acquisition of a controlling, 80% share of Israeli firm ACS Motion Control. Established in 1985, ACS Motion Control designs, manufacturers and sells high performance controller and drive systems for multi-axis drive solutions. Following the acquisition, PI, as a solution supplier of drive technology and positioning systems, claims it is now in a strong position to serve industrial applications with customized complete systems that can be conveniently integrated into a wide variety of automation environments.
